Lucifer
Clay Morrow is Jax’s step-father, Gemma’s husband after JT died. After JT’s death, Clay becomes the MC’s president and continues to steer it in whatever direction gains the most money. Clay, like Gemma, is also one of the most immoral of the characters on the show. That is one of the reasons that Clay earned the role of Lucifer. Clay has killed numerous members of the club, the first of which was JT. Clay killed JT out of jealousy and in an effort to remove his influence from the club. Of course, JT’s influence is never wiped away, even after Clay steals JTs wife and son. Clay raises Jax as his own, and attempts to place his own corrupted morals in him. However, there was no way that Clay could ever remove JT from Jax’s soul, just as Lucifer could never replace God. Jax is always true to his father. Clay’s opposition against JT is one of the main factors that makes him Lucifer.
Clay is fueled by jealousy and greed and will do anything to get what he wants. Also like Lucifer he thirsts for power (Montgomery, 1998). He has been known to be a murderer, an adulterer, and a deceiver. Like Lucifer he is a liar, and a traitor (Montgomery, 1998). Also like Lucifer he “masquerades as an angel of light” using his charm to hide his evil intentions. Clay has many followers, the club loved him, even after they discovered his true self (Montgomery, 1998). Clay’s charm and charisma make this ‘brothers’ love him as much as they hate him and the things he’s done.
